It seems like almost from the moment he passed away, there have been questions about and problems with Michael Jackson’s estate. They continue to be ongoing and the estate is still not resolved. A new Jackson biography is alleging even more potential problems. It alleges that some of Jackson’s family members took things from his house in the hours after the singer died.
The book alleges that after Jackson passed away, his sister, La Toya, and her boyfriend entered his house and left with large bags of cash that Michael had hidden throughout the house. It further alleges that Jackson’s mother arrived hours later to look for the same cash. She supposedly called the nanny to learn where it was hidden. Another sister, Janet, is alleged to have pulled up to the house with a moving van. The published excerpts from the book do not say what if anything Janet took.
Theft of property from a deceased relative’s house is a common problem. In most cases, the estate can recover the property. It is unknown what rally happened in Jackson’s case. No one knows whether anything was taken and whether the estate was able to recover anything that was. If it happens in your family, make sure that you have an experienced Probate attorney to help in the recovery process.
